Blog Giveaway!: A Scrap Mystery!

Happy Monday, everyone! I have a fabulous blog giveaway this week. Joanna Campbell Slan, a fellow SplitcoastStamper, has sent me a copy of her just-released mystery novel, "Photo Snap Shot". This novel is the third in her Scrap-N-Craft Mystery series featuring Kiki Lowenstein, scrapper and amateur detective.

You may recall that I read the first book in the series, "Paper, Scissors, Death" last month and raved about what a fun read it was! The novels take place in my former home town of St. Louis, and Joanna does a fantastic job of describing the places and people that were so familiar to me. Each novel has a scrapbooking theme, and the chapters have great scrapping tips at the end.

I love a good British cozy style of mystery, and when it's combined with one of my favorite crafts...well, what's not to love?

Joanna is such a sweetheart! She sent me an autographed copy of the novel (published by Midnight Ink) to give away here on my blog.

So here's the scoop: leave a comment here on this thread telling me about a favorite craft or favorite category of book that you love, and I will draw one winner next Monday morning! I will close the contest at Midnight on Sunday, and will announce the winner next week.

Good luck!

p.s. Joanna told me that she'll be making a book tour stop next month at a library in Mooresville, Indiana next month. Any of my fellow Indy Hoosiers up for a road trip?

  5. Yikes, she will be in Mooresville? I'm from Bloomington, I hope I don't miss when she will be there. I love mysteries and I may have been one of the first to mention her series on SCS. Just love the character of Kiki.

  8. The mystery books that I have been reading lately have been food-related (Diana Mott Davidson and Joanne Fluke) and also the #1 Ladies Detective Agency. I didn't know there were crafting mysteries, and I am anxious to read those!!
Thanks so much (to you and Joanna) for the opportunity to win!!

  10. When I have a bit of time to myself it's always a tough decision....stamp or read! I like Debbie Macomber's books. Especially her Blossom Street series (knitting). Last summer I discovered Claire Cook, her books are so funny. A recent favorite is Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (historical fiction, I suppose). I'd highly recommend that one. I've also read some of Sandra King's wonderful books. So the genre I read is quite varied! (You may be sorry you asked this question. I tend to get quite chatty when it comes to books...I LOVE them!) Thanks for reminding me of this series. I forgot you suggested it a while back. I've requested a copy of the first book from my local library.

  11. All time favorites are Diana Gabaldon books! No crafting but 'take me away' great novels. Just read Lunch in Paris (thanks for the b-day gift, Susie) and really enjoyed that. There are recipes at the end of each chapter and cooking is a recent discovery for me- never too late to learn. Love you- Tina

  12. Love a good mystery especially when it involves some scramping within its pages. I'll be checking Joanna's schedule for Mooresville; I just knew she had Hoosier ties when I read her bio indicating she's a Ball State grad! I can't wait to read her books!
