Flowering Branches

I got a little crafty today, and decided to make some flowering branches to bring spring indoors. Using a flower punch, a butterfly punch, blushing bride and pear pizazz card stock, some glue dots and liquid pearls, I turned some bare branches into a harbinger of spring.

Sometimes, you just have to break out of the mold and have a little fun with your craft.

Today the sun is shining, the windows are open and warm spring breezes are sending fresh air throughout the house. I hear that March may be going out like more of a lion than a lamb in the days ahead. But for now, I'm enjoying the song of birds and the promise of flowers to come.

What's for dinner? Earlier this week, it was spaghetti night. I love spaghetti, especially marinara sauce. And I do love pasta. But I'm trying hard to watch my carbs and get back on my plan of healthy eating. I decided to top some freshly steamed broccoli with marinara and grated parmesan. Yummy! It was a great substitute for a bowl full of noodles. Colorful and delicious.

What's for dinner at your house tonight?

  2. That looks yummy...my family would ask, "where's the beef?" Cute craft project...sometimes you gotta get a little jiggy with it!
