Forgetfulness

I had been VERY belated getting cards mailed last month. First there was my sister, Tina, who has yet to receive her birthday card and gift (it's coming!). Then there was my step-mom-in-law, Shirley Ann, who hasn't received her card and gift yet, either! And to make matters worse, Shirley Ann's Granddaughter, Jennifer, had a baby girl, and I still haven't mailed off her card and gift. I have a stack of cards that I wanted to mail to Mom that never got in the mailbox before my mail lady came. And now Easter is less than a week away, and I have a stack of cards to mail for that, too.

I hate being late! I wish I had a list of good excuses, but sadly, the chief culprit seems to be forgetfulness. I remember at the most inopportune times...like when I'm lying in bed at the end of the night. Don't forget to mail that card when I wake up in the....zzzzz. Do you have this problem, too?

It is time to play catch up!

Here's the baby card, full of sugar and spice and everything nice. Fresh baby clothes laundered in Dreft and hung on the line to dry in the sunshine. Does anything smell sweeter?

This stamp set from PTI (Hanging Out) makes a really fun card for babies, and the matching dies make it easy to cut out those little onesies. I combined it with the sun/cloud dies (PTI) and used some pretty girlie papers from My Mind's Eye (miss caroline).

This time, I remembered to stamp the back, which I usually forget completely.

Tell me, is forgetfulness a symptom of menopause or something more sinister? Do I need to start taking the Gingko supplements now? Perhaps I'm just distracted by all of the beautiful spring trees and blossoms.

Maybe if I work harder at concentrating and...oh look! There's a butterfly!

I'm sorry. What was I saying? I forget. Oh well! It will come to me, probably tonight when I'm lying in bed.

Happy Monday!

  1. Somehow it makes me feel better to know that I am not the only cardmaker that forgets to send cards. This is one of the cutest baby cards ever! I am sure the Baby Mamma will believe it was worth the wait.
I have also been slacking at leaving you comments. Your blog is one of the first I read because it is always uplifting and well written. Thank You! When you get that book published I will be one of the ones to preorder. Keep plugging along...

  2. I keep pen and paper on the table beside my bed so that I can write myself reminders about things to do!
