Oh Button Tree!

I am a lover of buttons. Seriously! And if I'm giving a card to someone in person, then LOAD on the buttons and the three dimensional goodies! But these days, I seem to do a lot more mailing of cards than delivering of cards. For this reason, I am really embracing the "faux" button. They are so much cheaper and easier to mail. And if you have button dies, you've got an endless supply of customized buttons at the ready!

This little button tree reminds me of an ornament my mom and I made one year. I think we may have been selling them at our church bazaar. It involved a clothespin for the trunk, pieces of fake greenery for the tree branches, buttons for the ornaments, a star on top, and LOTS of hot glue. LOL.

  1. This is adorable. All of a sudden I am really into country-style Christmas things...brings me back to my daughter's childhood days, I guess! This so appeals to me, and I am with you on the faux buttons...flat is good when it comes to mailing! Your mix of papers is perfect and I just love those SS cards....maybe Santa will bring me some this year!
