Happy Saturday! It's another SMASHing day! I have two more "lessons" from my weekly bible study to share with you! I used papers and stamps from My Mind's Eye to create a little outdoor scene.
Laying aside the past means focusing on the things we have gained in Christ, not on the things we've lost. Philippians 3:8 is a great reminder!
Laying aside pleasing people. Let's face it, we all struggle with this! There is a balance between seeking fellowship and seeking approval, as I've learned in recent years when making new friends. When I tried hard to fit in, I just felt uncomfortable. God has given us some great new friends in our neighborhood and in our church, people that we might not have picked out ourselves, but that God has seemed to pick out for us. Isn't that the best way? If we walk in the light, we will find fellowship with other "light" lovers, plain and simple.1 John 1:7 says it all.
