PS Challenge: Ocean

Hello, cafe friends! This week's trend spotter challenge at the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge blog was a tough one for me. I'm a midwestern gal, and the vast majority of my experience with "big water" tends to come from all of our family vacations in the Great Lakes. Ocean? Not so much.

I decided to use the photo as more of an inspiration rather than a literal translation. Here's my take on this challenge:

I used Adirondack paper and Distress Stains to create a watery background. The flower from the stamp set "Bold Blooms" reminded me of the coral in the ocean photo. A few dew drops to add the watery effect, and voila!

{Today's Brew:  Bold Blooms stamp set (Paper Smooches), die (PS), PTI naturals white card stock base, pacific point and tangerine tango card stock (SU), Adirnodack paper, Distress Stains, Distress Ink, dew drops}

Thanks for visiting the cafe today!
