31 Days of Coffee: Getting Punchy

The Fixer Upper Symphony continues.

Today, we have a few new instruments added to this movement. The painters are here to do prep work...replace cedar, caulk, wash the exterior.

The window crew is here, installing interior trim.

And the appliance repairman is here, just to put my mind at ease and let me know that the fume smell coming from my new gas oven is not, in fact, a gas leak, but merely fumes from all of the interior and exterior work being done on the house.

Would anyone else like to join this party? Our doors are wide open!

Time to brew some coffee and get creative.

I'm working on this punch needle pattern from Teresa Kogut called "Give Thanks". The rich autumnal colors of this pattern will look so pretty as we head in to the holiday season.

I haven't picked up my stitching in a while. I forgot how meditative it can be to perform a repetitive task with your hands while letting your mind wander. As the Fixer Upper symphony performs this movement, I will sip my coffee and think good thoughts for house and home.

  1. I love those earthy fall colors for your stitching. That will turn out great!

    1. I hope so, too, Tami! I need to get back at this project today. I love working on needle art this time of year...it's my favorite thing to do while watching those Hallmark holiday movies! :)
