31 Days of Coffee: A Michigan Giveaway!

Aah, Michigan! Have you ever seen the Pure Michigan commercials with the voiceovers by Tim Allen? Whenever they come on the television, I am invariably glued to the scene. By the time Tim Allen says the words "Pure Michigan", I have tears in my eyes!

Driving the backroads of Michigan always makes me want to hum a John Denver tune...

...take me home, country roads, to the place where I belong.

Michigan in the autumn is a thing of beauty at every turn. Bennett's Orchard in Ottawa Lake, Michigan was so sweet, I couldn't stop myself from taking a dozen photos!

Michigan coffee? Yes, please! I want some...every morning!

Today I pulled out Farmer Mouse stamp from The Saltbox Studio because he's sitting in a wagon that reminded me a lot of the wagon in front of the orchard! Aww, he's so darn cute!

And here's the giveaway part!

I'm giving away a Farmer Mouse stamp from The Saltbox Studio, along with a coffee beanie handcrafted by Michigan artist Old Maid New! Yea! Blog candy!

Just leave me a comment telling me where your favorite country road is located! I'll randomly draw one name to win this prize. I will keep the contest open until Sunday evening at 6pm. That means you'll have to stop back on Monday morning to see if you're the winner!

Thank you! See you soon, cafe friends! Blessings on your Friday!

  1. I just started following your blog via the 31 Day series.

I live in Michigan, but not in the country. Last fall, my daughter and I went to pick Concord grapes, and the farm was somewhere out near Dorr. The beauty of those fall country roads took my breath away! The rolling hills, the corn shocks in the fields, the farm stands dotting the roads...it was all so lovely.

  2. Oh, I've never been on a backroad in Michigan. But my very favorite backroad is right near my hometown in South Dakota. It is called pigtail highway and it is on the way to Mt Rushmore. You really have to know where to look for it, but once you are on it, it twists and turns up these beautiful pigtail bridges and tunnels. The most beautiful place in my world. I love the simplicity of your #write31days series and it is quite apparent to me that you are writing about something you love. Best of luck from a fellow "Too Awesome to Categorize" #write31days blogger!

  3. Too late for the giveaway, but I just had to comment - my husband and I moved to Michigan a year and a half ago. He is a minister and we took a church an hour and a half from your post location. We have enjoyed the back roads and the beautiful colors of Michigan autumns. We do miss family and your posts are wonderful reminders of what a big God we serve who is full of mercy. Blessings to you and your family!
