Introducing...Jemma!

Happy Valentine's Day, friends!

I'd like to introduce you to the girl who stole our hearts...Jemimah Jane, or Jemma for short.

We brought little Jemma home today, and we have had so many laughs ever since! Here she is, playing with Mom's boots. Silly girl!

It's a good thing she has plenty of toys! The breeder sent us home with a Baby bag filled with goodies. That was so thoughtful!

She really loves the ropey best.

We have explored the house and chased boys in the snow. And when we are ready for a nap, we plop down wherever the mood strikes us and close our eyes.

I chose the name Jemimah because it was the name of the beautiful daughter of Job in the Old Testament of the Bible, from the family that God restored to Job after his trials and suffering. In Hebrew, it means "warm and affectionate", and it also means "white dove". Perfect!

Jemimah Jane seems very British for a dog whose breed hails from Scotland. And when we told the breeder the name, she told us that her mama's name is Izzybelle Jane. Aww. She has part of her mama's name, just like our first dog, Maggie. :)

The boys are crazy about her. She has brought a new measure of joy to our household, and we are feeling so blessed.

Of course, we haven't had a night of three a.m. wake up calls yet, but that's all part of being a puppy parent.

For now, we are enjoying puppy kisses and snuggles.

Love!
