In Just Two Weeks

I don't mean to alarm you, but did you realize that Easter is in just two weeks?! We barely get a chance to celebrate the first day of spring when we are turning around the next week and celebrate our risen Lord. Wow!

When you live in the Midwest, you have a lot of holidays that may or may not seem appropriate when you look at the weather outside. It's not uncommon to send Trick or Treaters out with parkas and hats covering their costumes. The same goes for Easter. You can wake up on Easter morning to six inches of fresh snow, or you can wake up to sunny skies and warm temperatures.

The weather has been pretty mild this week, and I'm finally seeing some shoots from the 200 + bulbs I planted last fall. Wouldn't it be lovely to wake up on Easter morning and see a crocus or a daffodil or a hyacinth in bloom? I'm hoping for that scenario and not the snowy one.

If not, there's always the store bought tulips, or in this case, the paper-crafted kind.
