More Weekend Inspiration

It had been a long time since I'd crafted a card. If you're a regular here at the cafe, then you may have noticed lots of needle art related posts, with just a few smatterings of cards here and there. I don't know why that is. I think I go on a tangent for a while, and then come back to it when I feel the need to put ink to paper.

A paper crafting retreat weekend was really in order. There's nothing like a room full of women stamping beautiful creations to get you inspired!

This was the first card I made at the retreat. You know how they say you should throw the first pancake out? Well, it took a few tries on this card before I got it where it needed to be.

{Today's Brew: Graceful Greetings stamp set (PTI), Garden Garland die (PTI), PTI fresh snow ink, PTI card stock, embossing powder}

It's hard not to be inspired when you are staying at the Hankerd Inn! There are lovely quilts everywhere! It's a colorful place, and the interior of the barn is no exception. Here are a few of the rooms in the barn.

I think I could wash dishes all day if this was the view!

Here's the sweet room where my mom and I stayed. It was so warm and welcoming in shades of sunny yellow and green. Each room has its own bathroom, too.

And here's one of the other bedrooms I loved. Blue and yellow!

With lovely accommodations like this, it's hard to leave the barn and venture around the grounds!

More to show you in the days ahead.

Blessings, cafe friends!

  1. What color card stock did you cut the garland out of? Your card is beautiful, as always! The inn looks dreamy! I would love to go stamp there with a few friends!

    1. Hi Sandy! It was the new Saffron Spice on a Smokey Shadow card base, with a little Fresh Snow inked along the edges. I love the new colors PTI has been introducing! Gotta have 'em all! ;)

  2. Pretty card! And beautiful pictures of the inn. I love the wood in the kitchen. So many people are going for the all white look these days. Beautiful wood will always be my choice! M.L.
