We are experiencing the same heat wave that's sweeping across the country this week. Temps in the 90s, which is pretty hot by Michigan standards.
I'm enjoying iced lattes now. This recipe comes from Sam's fiancée, Rhiannon. Combine Nescafe instant espresso ( I use 2-3 t.) with a little water in a glass. Stir well, then add ice cubes, milk of choice (I'm using almond milk), and maybe a little sweetened creamer (Starbucks Brown Sugar Oat Milk creamer is very good!).
I am also a firm believer that it's never too hot for coffee.
Coffee on a picnic? Absolutely!
This set combines a few stamps and elements from Catherine Pooler with a sunny embossing folder (Taylored Expressions), a picnic tablecloth (The Greetery) and that fun "coffee" sentiment (Reverse Confetti).
Happy caffeinated summer, friends!
Mmm, that looks pretty yummy...both the iced coffee AND the card! I remember my grandmother drinking iced coffee and I admit that I have had a few this summer....but only before 2pm! Otherwise....the consequences aren't pretty when I am tossing and turning all night! Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteSame here, LeAnne! And I do cherish a good night's sleep!
DeleteYour deck looks like a lovely spot to read and stay cool! I love all the details on your cute card, especially the scattered coffee beans.
ReplyDeleteNot a coffee girl myself, but I will echo your sentiment, "It's never too hot for..." in my case tea and hot cocoa!
Speaking of good books, I think there's an author that's local to you. Marie Benedict? Her newest, The Queens of Crime, was very good!
DeleteYes, she is local to me. She often gives talks and signings at the local library and local bookstore.
DeleteThanks for the recommendation. The first book of hers I read was great, but the second I could not finish. I'll reserve The Queens of Crime and give that a try.
