WPlus9 Design December Blog Hop!
Today is the ninth of the month, and that means a blog hop at WPlus9 design! This month's inspiration photo really got me excited:
A Nordic Christmas! woo hoo! A little ribbon, a little linen, a little redwork...be still my heart! And speaking of hearts, here's my creation:
I decided to make a card Christmas ornament! I used the coordinating dies from Folkart Florals, patiently running them through my Big Shot several times to get the symmetrical images that I wanted.
I used a Distress Marker in white Picket Fence to make a faux blanket stitch around the edges.
I decided to add a tag with some sweet stamped images (Folkart Florals, Springtime Tags, tag die). A little button, a little baker's twine, and voila. A Nordic Christmas creation!
Here's a little tip. I used the lid from one of my Brighton jewelry tins to make the base of this heart shaped card. I placed the left hand edge slightly off the fold, traced with a pencil, and cut carefully with my paper snips. A quick and easy heart shaped card.
Thanks for visiting the cafe today!
