Hitting The Trail

Sometimes, you just have to hit the trail and get out of town, which is exactly what we did last weekend. Today's card reflects that sense of adventure!

I made the stars and moon "twinkle" with a hint of Wink of Stella!

So where did our adventure take us?

For starters, we ventured to Indianapolis to visit our son, John! The Indianapolis Zoo has a koala exhibit that was a MUST SEE for our koala-loving son, Samuel!

From there, we made it to the White River Gardens:

We also visited our church family in Noblesville, ate at some of our old favorites, and did some shopping at Logan's Antique Mall.

From Indianapolis, we traveled to Sandusky, Ohio to spend the day at Cedar Point! We had arranged to meet the family of Sam's best buddy, Erik, from Pittsburgh so that the boys could reconnect and ride some roller coasters. A good time was had by all!

From Sandusky, Ohio we traveled to Michigan to visit family!

My sister has the sweetest bird sanctuary in her yard! Just look at how cute these feeders and houses are!

We also spent a day in Perrysburg, Ohio to visit Sidecut Metropark and spend some time with Mom Brooke.

And now we are back home again, to a mountain of laundry and a long TO DO list. Funny, but the laundry and lists are always waiting for you when you come home. That's why it's good to leave them behind once in a while and have an adventure before summer comes to a close.
