A Weekend Review

I took a much needed trip back home to Michigan with Sam over the weekend.

The Cheers theme song is absolutely right. Sometimes you gotta go where everybody knows your name.

Good laughs and good food with the women in my life.

Time spent with some of the new furry members of the family.

Enjoying the view of some strange Michigan birds at my Mom's feeders.

Good times playing old games with cousins.

Of course, it wouldn't be spring in the Midwest without some crazy weather.

But it always feels like home at Mom's.

Sharing in the communion of saints with joy in the resurrection.

Visiting loved ones so dear to our hearts.

Homecomings are bittersweet. Knowing where you've come from, not knowing where you are going, but knowing who's there waiting for you.
