He is Risen!

Last week, we watched the movie "Risen", and we thought it was really well done. It's a powerful statement showing that once you've experienced the risen Christ, your life will never be the same.

We are, simultaneously, Good Friday people and Easter people.

Or as Martin Luther once said, "Simul Justus et Peccator."

Simultaneously Saint and Sinner.

We are sinners, deserving of the death that Jesus suffered in our place.

"For our sake he made him to be sin who knew know sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21

And if it had all stopped there, it would be a sad story indeed.

But God be praised, it didn't. He conquered death and the grave so that we, too, might live with him eternally. We are redeemed!

Jesus became the bridge between sinful man and a holy God. And now, Immanuel. God with us! We are not alone.

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

{ I used print and stamps to make this bible page. I figured as long as they were sitting on my craft table, dirty, I get one more use out of them! Stencils and alphabet stamps are from My Favorite Things }

  2. Alleluia! What a gift were are given as children of our risen Savior!
    Romans 5:15 New International Version (NIV)

    15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!

    Great message, Mary Rose! Love your Bible page too!
