A Christmas Card for Co-Workers

My husband asked me just the other day "Hon, I need twelve cards for my management team."

Uhm, okay? And when do you need them?

"In two days. Here are some themes for each of them."

And then he sent me an email detailing each person's interests. Kayaking. Paddle boarding. Yoga. Cosmetics.

Yeah, individualized cards were not gonna happen!

That's when I suggested "How about a nice festive Thank You card that fits in with the corporate logo?"

I made a prototype, he loved it, and then I got to work.

I wanted something that looked elegant and fancy, but in truth was pretty easy. Die cuts to the rescue!

The tricky part was the Thanks. I could have cut this with Sticky paper and peeled and adhered, but it just seemed like another complicated step. So instead, I glued it in place. But here's the problem with even a fine tip glue on a die this delicate.

Messy!

I decided to embrace the mess. Using the tip of a finger, I smudged the glue around the Thanks, and then sprinkled fine glitter over all of it!

After this, I took a dry paint brush and brushed away any glitter from the spots it did not belong. I let it dry, and when it was done, it just gave a nice sparkly backdrop for the sentiment.

In the end, no one knows that the glitter is there to cover up the boo boos. They only see festive Christmas glitter!

Hope your holidays are filled with joy and extra sparkly glitter!

Blessings, café friends!
