The Christmas Cottage: By Day and By Night

Good morning!

I thought I'd take a break from all the card crafting to show you what Christmas at the cottage is looking like these days.

I added two things this year. First, these pillar candles which operate on a timer. I bought one for the front lantern, then put the smaller lantern at the sidewalk garden. Pillar candles were a find! $2 at Walmart!

I also purchased this garden flag from Christianbook.com. Love it!

Last year, I didn't put the greenery out, but this year I decided the house needed it. They have battery-operated lights on timers, too.

When I was cleaning up the garden, I clipped some hydrangeas and put them in the urns with some arbor vitae greenery. I kept the white pumpkins out, just for fun.

One more addition this year. My in-laws sent us this sweet personalized Christmas sign! I love it! I put it in the garden by the sidewalk so all of our neighbors and dog walkers could see our Christmas greetings.

Ed likes to put the deer at the edge of the woods...like the real deer that visit every night.

Can you see the ghost in the window? Jemma loves the snow!

Thanks for visiting the café!

  2. You decorate so beautifully! My grandma's home was so welcoming and cozy and everyone wanted to be there. Your home reminds me of hers and her style! I love it!
