Mats, and How To Use Them

I love the look of a well-matted card. Mats often provide the "canvas" for the stamped or die cut image. It gives the card focus.

But honestly, I forget to use them sometimes! And I have so many pretty dies for just this purpose. Pinking edge, Postal edge, Scalloped edge.

This morning, I decided to cut out a big stack of mats in white card stock, just to have handy at my craft space. I am hoping this will remind me to use them more often!

Today's card features a scallop frame die from Lawn Fawn. I think it works well to frame this little scene with the birds.

  1. I love mats and frames, too. That's a good idea to have a variety of mats and frames cut and ready to go.
