Yes, after nine long months of waiting, our refrigerator is finally here!
The wait was long, but the delivery was pain free! 😀
It became apparent that the first appliance center we chose was never going to find a fridge. I had given up trying to match our Kitchenaid gas range and microwave, and was willing to get a fridge that was white and would at least coordinate with the other appliances.
After a lot of searching online, I finally found this Samsung at Best Buy. So, we canceled our long standing order with the other store and went to Best Buy, where they gave us an estimated two-three week delivery.
Yeah, right. We'd heard that story before.
But guess what? It was here exactly when they told us it would be! The price was right, and we got a great deal by opening a new Best Buy card, so win win!
This Samsung is 27 cubic feet of space, and it is awesome! We have so much room, and everything is visible and more easily accessible. No more container and bottle Tetris games to make it all fit!
Originally, I wanted to order a fridge that had a smooth front with water on the interior. But the Samsung model had a strange set up that filled a tiny little interior pitcher with water, and the ice maker took up a lot of space in the freezer. Knowing my family and how often we need the filtered water, we went with easy access in the front door. I know the men in my life will be happy about that!
I have the option to swap out the handles with stainless in the future, just to make it look like the other appliances. But for now, I am just happy with how the white brightens my once dark kitchen.
We are still waiting for one more appliance...the dishwasher. I am hopeful that we can still get the matching model in the future...and if I can't get it from the first dealer, then I will try Best Buy again.
Today, I am joyful, thankful, and blessed!
It's funny how an appliance can make one so happy! After 23 years, my washing machine bit the dust today and I called my local appliance center to order the Speed Queen I'd had in my little resource file for just such a moment. I'm so excited for its arrival (though a bit sad because this washing machine is the one I've had since we got married....the dryer quit 3 years ago, though, so it's been missing its mate for awhile). Congratulations on FINALLY getting that frig!!
