A Spring/Summer Refresh

It was time for a little refresh here at the cottage. I swapped out some dishes in the hutch, and chose a red, white and blue theme for the summer months ahead.

It's a pretty eclectic mix of Ironstone, Corelle mugs, Pioneer Woman bowls, and melamine plates. And somehow, it all works together.

We use everything on this hutch. It functions as open shelving for the kitchen nearby. Need a plate or a mug? Grab one! And below, you will find cookbooks, board games, a colander...whatever needs a spot at the time. That's how it works in a small kitchen and dining space. Real estate is valuable!

It's hard to believe that Memorial Day weekend is upon us. Where did the month of May go? I must have lost time planting in the garden.

Thanks for visiting the café today!
