I have not been making a lot of cards lately. To be honest, I had a pretty good stash of leftovers from the stamp camp I went to back in March. But yesterday, I decided that a lot of those cards needed to be passed along and mailed to some folks.
I spent a long time with envelopes, pen, and stamps and got busy...I wrote thank you notes, notes of encouragement, birthday greetings. My stash looks a little thinner now, and that's a good thing. I need to do that more often!
Next up on my card making list: Father's Day, a New Home Card, and a birthday card for a brother. Finally! An excuse to get inky again!
Blessings, café friends!
Good for you! For some reason, when I get ready to send cards, I am always surprised at how much time it takes to address the envelope, think about what to write inside, write it in the card, then pick out a return address label and a stamp that co-ordinate.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Susie! And did I ever tell you how much I ❤️ the card you sent me with the kites? So beautiful! Is that from Concord and 9th?
DeleteIt feels so good to mail cards! I spent an entire morning this week writing in cards. God gave me a soft spot for the elderly and it is so wonderful to fill the inside of my handmade cards with chatter to mail off to them. They genuinely enjoy getting them and even write back to me. So now I have pen pals! Having a purpose for a hobby is deeply satisfying.
