On Saturday, I decided to spend some much needed time in my craft room making cards. I needed a break from the mental work of writing.
I pulled out a bunch of new stamps that I haven't had a chance to play with yet, like this Peachy set from Catherine Pooler. Perfect for this time of year!
I made this card for my step mom-in-law, Shirley Ann, who was diagnosed with Shingles last week. Poor thing! I know that she's in a lot of pain right now as the rash continues to spread. (Note to self...get vaccinated soon!)
I worry about my in-laws, as she is normally the caretaker of my father-in-law. But what happens when the caretaker is sick? They are in their eighties, in poor health, living alone in a house that they can only manage by paying for a lot of outside help. And sadly, we are still two and a half hours away. Close, but not that close.
My list of prayers grows by the day.
I added the inside "soon" using a Concord and 9th alphabet set, and I am including this peach tea. I told her to add a splash of Jim Bean to it! 😉
{Today's Brew: Just Peachy stamps and dies (CP), Peachy word die (CP), CP papers (Fresh and Fruity), MFT scallop edge die, C and 9th alphabet}
Hope everything's peachy in your corner of the world!
Great card! And yes to peaches! I picked some up at my local grocery and plan to make peach crisp tonight.
ReplyDeletePeach crisp sounds amazing! Adding that one to my dessert list!
