Have you ever looked at a stamp set and seen something different than its intended purpose?
The minute I saw the Nordic Stars stamp set from Catherine Pooler, my mind saw frosted Christmas cookies.
I have been watching the Food Channel's Holiday Baking shows this month, and it has been so much fun to watch their amazing creations come to life! I am inspired to try my hand at some new cakes and cookies this holiday season.
For today's brew, I made the sugar cookies by first stamping the "stars" in Sand Castle ink, and then embossing the white detail to give it the frosted "royal icing" sugar cookie look!
{Today's Brew: Nordic Stars (CP), Perfect Blend stamp and die (CP), CP inks and papers, The Greetery coffee cozy die, banner die, snowflake sticker (Jolee's)}
Have you seen the cookie bake offs? For me, this is a great alternative to the saccharine-sweet holiday movies that so many channels air this time of year. I swore off the Hallmark channel about a year and a half ago. Sure, you get the sugar high without the calories when you watch them, but what's the fun in that? At least the baking shows are realistic!
Thanks for visiting the café today!
I love how you cut the Cozy Coaster die from plaid paper. It looks great! And those stars look just like cookies.
