Pastor Appreciation

October was Pastor Appreciation Month. We have three Pastors at our church...one full time pastor, and two semi-retired part time pastors. We even have several fully retired pastors who are members of the congregation!

We had a really nice brunch reception last Sunday, with egg and potato casseroles brought in by the wonderful ladies. I also ordered a big sheet cake. I explained that the famous chef Julia Child once said "A party without cake is just a meeting."

This was a party!

Our party also coincided with Reformation Day. Another reason to celebrate!

I wanted to make a special card for the pastors, and I remembered the linocut I made for Sam's confirmation a few years ago. I pulled these out, inked them with a brayer, and they worked great!

I paired the image with PTI's Inspired By: Grace stamps and die. A good pairing, I think.

Can you believe it's November? This year has gone by so fast! Hoping that colder days will have us slowing down and enjoying the season with a warm drink by the fire. Last night, I burrowed in with a warm throw and a cup of Green Mountain's Apple Cider from the Keurig. Mmm!
