One of my goals this year is to "use what I've got".
Today's cards are following this plan.
I had a stack of mini envelopes from Lawn Fawn (I think I've been holding on to them for a few years now!), and decided to make some small cards to go with them. These are all sized 3 1/2 X 5...a little canvas to use up the scraps of papers and dies from the Friday crafting session with Mom.
All of the papers came from a Simple Stories scrapbooking kit that I've been holding on to for too long. I paired papers and stickers with die cuts and embellishments. I used some PTI card stock in red and pink to make some framing layers (used a Notecard die from Catherine Pooler for these).
{Today's Brew: Simple Stories papers, PTI card stock, Catherine Pooler Notecard die, SU Folk Heart punch, CP baker's twine, Reverse Confetti Warm Hugs die, Hello die (PTI), Hello die (Hello Bluebird)}
I think these colors look so sweet when paired with kraft cardstock!
I have a week of Valentines creations to share with you, so stop back to the café soon!
This is so fun seeing all your cards the past few days! How sweet that you share the hobby with your mom. My mom and I stamp together once a month and it's nice to have that in common.
ReplyDeleteYour goal to use what you have is the same goal I gave myself for this year! Not just for stamping, either - candles, essential oils, pantry items, toiletries, everything!
So with all the Valentine's Day cards you are making, who are you sending them to? I love to make them, but I need ideas for more than my husband and kids!
I'm sending some to online friends, and others I will drop in church mailboxes. I also have a sister and a friend with birthdays on Valentine's Day!
DeleteGreat ideas! I've been trying to use what I have, too. I pulled out a bunch of leftover die cuts. Some I can use, and those I can't or won't will get recycled. Time to declutter!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, Susie!
DeleteLove the ideas and of course, you and I both probably could supply a few homes with crafty goodness! I finally figured out how to make comments again on Blogger. I've been reading your posts but couldn't comment until my research today. Keep the inspiration going, Mary!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vikki!
