Pink It Up!

The fireplace mantle got a little refresh this week, just in time for Valentine's Day!

Funny story: One day, I told my husband that we really need to have our fireplace cleaned because the soot was making our vintage mirror so dirty.

"Maybe it's not the fireplace," he answered. "Maybe it's all the candles you burn there."

Oh yeah!

He was right!

The sooty mirror got a good cleaning yesterday!

Just a few days until February. It seems like we blinked, and the time after the holidays until now just went whizzing by. We had a lot on our calendar this month, and February is looking like more of the same.

More square cards from Amuse Studio to showcase today! What color would you call these card bases? Pink? Fuschia? I added the usual assortment of doilies, papers, sentiments and embellishments to these happy little Valentine's.

A few more cards added to the 'Use What You've Got" stash!

Blessings on your Friday, café friends!

  1. Using Stampin' Up! color names, I'd call that Fresh Freesia (I use a lot of SU! so every color gets related to their colors lol). Once again, more cute cards from you!

I love your fireplace! We have one in our family room and its surrounded by brick against a wall of dark wood paneling and the hearth is raised brick. When we redo our family room, #1 remodel is on the fireplace. I want the hearth flush to the floor like yours in order to provide more walking space. Is yours tile? I really like it!

    1. When we first bought the house, the mantle was pine, but the trim on the dace the windows as white. I decided it would look better if the mantle matched the trim, so painted it! I thought I would replace the pinkish tile, but they’ve grown on me.
