The Things I Find When Cleaning the Craft Room

During my COVID quarantine, I decided to clean my craft room and do some purging of stamps and dies that I don't seem to be using these days. (If you are interested, I still have an album of goodies at the DeStash to ReStash page on Facebook!).

In the process,  I started cleaning and sorting and organizing. In essence, rediscovering what I have.

I had a BIG order from Hello Bluebird way back in September that I had barely touched. I needed to cut apart the dies and put all the sets in storage envelopes. So many cute things that I had not played with yet!

So yesterday, I did a little playing.

One of my goals for 2022 is to use what I have. I had this idea that my motto for 2022 will be "Try something new (with less and few)".

2021 was a spendy year for me in the crafts department (thank you, Catherine Pooler!). Mind you, I love the things I purchased. But I need to be more thoughtful about using it. And I need to give myself permission to just have fun and create without worrying about the outcome.

I want to learn new things in 2022. I want to learn to play my dulcimer well. I want to learn a new language (and brush up on my French). I want to learn to color with alcohol markers. I want to watercolor again, and maybe take a class to help.

2022. Try Something New! (I started the year with something new. Does COVID count? LOL!)

Do you have a goal for 2022?

  1. CUTE card!!! My goal for 2022 is to allow the study of the Bible to change me. I've gone to church my entire life, became a Christian at 25, then "dabbled" in Bible reading. I know it, but I want to KNOW IT this year and let it transform me. I've been getting up at 5:30 AM to read and meditate on the Bible through journaling, then pray.

    1. That's a great goal, Nicole! I want to incorporate some new disciplines into my prayer and bible reading this year, too.
