This weekend, I hosted a "crafternoon" at church. I invited everyone, all ages, to come and get crafty together. I figure that everyone gets a little cabin fever this time of year, and as Fellowship chairperson, I want to offer opportunities for folks to get out and connect.
Coffee, cocoa and cookies? Of course!
I brought all the supplies to make faux leather earrings and key chains. I gave a demonstration and then let everyone get creative.
We had a good turnout for a cold Sunday afternoon, and I think everyone had fun!
Next month's Crafternoon: Painting mini canvasses.
What a wonderful idea for a fellowship gathering! Your church seems so sweet and like the church I grew up in.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great afternoon! It is very generous of you to offer your time and materials to fellow church members.
