In Praise of the $5 Stamp Set

 

Back in the day ( 10+ years ago? ), when I first began purchasing a lot of stamp sets from Papertrey Ink, I was a huge fan of the $5 stamp sets.

PTI had a lot of fun $5 collections, too. Heart-2-Heart, Frame It, Inspired, Wonderful Words. So many cute stamps and dies that could be used in so many ways. I still have them, and still use them, too! That was a good investment!

Today's tag was made using Fruit Fusion: Cherries. Simple. Sweet. Fun and fast!

My Mother-in-Law loves chocolate-covered cherries. I found them at Meijer this week. But my MIL also has dementia, AND a sweet tooth! I knew if I gave her the whole container, she may very well eat them all in one day. So instead, I'm giving her one or two dozen at a time.

We went to visit her yesterday, with chocolate and a little potted cyclamen plant, a magazine, a new spring shirt. Just a few fun things to brighten her day.
