This frame die from Taylored Expressions is very pretty. I received it as a freebie months back, and knew I would use this one frequently for one big reason: so many sentiments will fit in the center!
I had been cutting out several leafy frames for the crafternoon, starting with an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of cardstock, and cutting it into 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 rectangles before I ran it through the Big Shot. And after I was done, I had a stack of these "negative" frames.
I can use that!
I started with a card base, did some cloudy ink blending, popped up the negative frame with some foam dots, and added the sentiment.

For this card, I used the die cut leafy frame, glued it in place first, and then decided I wanted a spongy cloudy background. So I carefully masked and inked so that it only filled the center empty rectangular space. I added the sentiment and added some flowers.

The positive: I have a big mug of caramel latte and nowhere I have to go today! No articles that need to be researched. No laundry that needs to be done. Spring break is over, I have the house to myself, and I can craft and read to my heart's content!
Blessings on your Monday, café friends!
I love that the frame die can give you two different looks. Very versatile! It sounds like you have the perfect day ahead of you. Enjoy!
