It's official! Sam is now a high school graduate! woo hoo!
The weather was perfect, and the ceremony was really nice...under an hour and a half (not three as predicted, whew!), and 461 students were graduating. I love this shot, as Ed is at the fence taking photos of Sam processing out.
Our son, John came to town to celebrate with us. We had a nice, laid back time together sharing good food and good laughs.
I gave Sam his present in this bag. I know what you're thinking...wow! Mom got crafty! But nope! This bag was from one of Sam's cross country banquets, and I saved it to re-use. Some other Mom got crafty, and I really appreciated her efforts! LOL!
Sam's gift was a fancy new toothbrush (Burst brand) and a new compact Bible to take to college. And here's the note I attached to the bag:

They recognized the graduates at church this morning, and I was happy to see that Sam brought his new Bible, too.
Congratulations to Sam! He has a brilliant future ahead, with his major, his smarts, and his God! The pride of his parents is evident in the family photo. Well done on raising a fine godly young man.
