I've added a few new things to the garden this season. This pot contains Guara, a drought tolerant plant that is supposedly deer resistant and friendly for pollinators and hummingbirds. I think it's meant to be used as a bush in a garden bed, but I had a pot that needed filling, and it's growing nicely.
I did a lot of planting in the shade garden, mixing a variety of coleus, perennial geraniums, bleeding hearts, lungwort, and ferns. I also planted some annuals like wax begonias and salvia. Coleus will put on such a great show at the end of summer!
I was so happy to find this plant at Home Depot! It's called Cerveza 'n Lime (Plectranthus), and when you brush it, it smells like a beer with lime! Or lime Kool Aid. It's a drought resistant plant, too. And you can bring it indoors in the winter. It's almost like a succulent. I bought a plant for my sons in Indiana, too. Just a fun summertime potted plant to add to the mix.
Hope you are enjoying these summer days!

I admire the variety of plants you've acquired. They make a lovely garden.
