It's been an amazing year for the purple coneflower. In years past, the deer have discovered the tender buds and eaten them before they could bloom. Not this year! They are all well-established plants now, and blooming to their fullest.
The bees and butterflies are happy to see them, too.
At the peak of the day, you can stand near this garden and just listen to it humming. The milkweed are also in bloom, and their heady scent is attracting a lot of the pollinators as well.
We had a few good soaking rains this week, and everything is looking lush.
Time for a few more flowers from the Greetery garden!

I like your flowers in the yard and the vases! Our coneflowers are just setting buds due to our long cold spring but the milkweed is blooming well. Vikki H
