This week, I am featuring cards for the men in my life. A lot of crafters struggle with cards that lean in to the masculine side. Sure, we all love our florals! But what do you do for the guys?
I typically reach for stamp sets that have a nature-inspired theme.
I am SO glad that I finally purchased this stamp set from The Greetery this summer! I have used it several times already, and I know that I will get a lot of mileage out of this one.
I decided that I wanted this card to have a night sky, so I stamped all the images in darker inks on a blue background (PTI's Enchanted Evening). I did a little paint splattering with Prima metallics. It makes me think of fireflies in the summertime. I also added a moon die cut with a gold metallic card stock.
This card says "Up North" for me. That's a popular saying in the Mitten state. It often gets inserted in conversations.
"Where did you go last weekend?"
"Up North."
Up North in our area can mean anything from Frankenmuth to Pictured Rocks on the shores of Lake Superior.
And speaking of Up North, we are going to try to squeeze in a four-day trip to the UP next week! Pictured Rocks, Tahquamennon Falls, maybe even back to the Dark Sky park near Mackinac. Should be fun!
Hope your Tuesday is terrific!
