In Memory of a Special Lady

I needed a sympathy card last week for a very special lady. Mary and her family were our next door neighbors growing up. I may have mentioned this before, but I was born during an ice storm at my parent's house, and Mary was the nurse living next door who came over to help deliver me.

I was named after Mary and after my godmother, Rose. Mary Rose.

Mary passed away recently, and I took Mom to attend her funeral visitation.

Mary loved flowers, and this card is a reflection of that. I used Graceful Greetings stamps and dies, and paired it with a paper, sequins and inks from Catherine Pooler.

And here is a sweet story about Mary when she met First Lady Laura Bush. How fun!

Thanks for visiting the café today!
