This week, I plan on making some cards using products from Stampin' Up!
Ah, Stampin' Up! Or as my husband calls it, the gateway drug to craft addiction. LOL!
I've been using SU products for 23+ years now, as a customer, and then a demonstrator, and then a customer again.
I once had hundreds of wood-mounted stamp sets, but I now have only a handful of those. I have narrowed down my SU collection, but I do still find sets on buy/sell forums from time to time, usually cling mount now.
Today's cards are from a recent find.
Look, Nicole! I found Honey Bee stamps and dies!😁
And the seller even included some lovely matching papers and embellishments with the package. How sweet!
I think this set came out in 2020, during the pandemic. I saw so many samples with it, and loved them all. And now that I've played with it? I can honestly say it is so easy to make gorgeous cards with this set!
I made this one into a fancy fold card.
And speaking of fancy folds, do you watch videos from Rose Coleman? She's a Canadian SU demo that posts something she calls Fun Fold Fridays on social media. I love watching her creative approach. SU demo (and fellow Michigander!) Jackie Bolhuis (aka Klompenstampers) also makes some fancy fold cards that are great.
Here's another card I made today.
I used an SU embossing folder to create the honeycomb panel, which I popped up with foam tape.
This SU gold twine is some of my favorite! It is so old, and I hoard it! ha ha! I've run out of the silver, but I still have the gold and copper. I've never found another to match its weight or quality.
Those flowers...I love them. And that little bee? Perfect! I can see myself using this set a LOT in the days to come!
Happy Sunday!
Your cards are beautiful! SU! was my intro to stamping, too. I rarely look at SU! products these days, but occasionally I see a SU! card that catches my eye. I don't buy rubber stamps anymore, mounted or not, though I know SU! now sells some photopolymer stamps. The market has changed. So many companies from which to choose!
ReplyDeleteYay, you found them!! And double yay for the paper and embellishments, too. I'm really happy you found them. Your cards are so cheerful and that fun fold shows off so much of the patterned paper. That was a great pack (my pack is down to just a couple strips but I have some metal bee embellishments to use with it and can get a couple cards from what's left, so I'm not tossing it). I don't have the Honey Bee set but I do have a bee stamp. Thanks for the inspiration! If you make more, post them please!
