Yesterday we had a quilt-themed party for a church member who is moving to be closer to her family in Colorado. Jo headed up our quilt ministry at church, and we wanted to honor her with a big sendoff.
Someone asked me what we should do for decorations in the hall. My suggestion? Quilts! Lots of the beautiful quilts!
I made these quilt-inspired labels using a new stamp and die set from Catherine Pooler. I matched them to the colors from the cake and tablecloths.
We had a delicious potluck! Everyone was able to put the little stand-up labels next to their dish so that we could see what was offered.
We had a great turnout, and our guest of honor was so surprised. Such a sweet lady!
What a great going away party for a quilter! Those quilts make perfect decorations, and your labels are the icing on the cake!
