A Card for the Chef

During my time as Fellowship chairperson at church, I was blessed to have two gentlemen who were great cooks. Steve and Jim were comfortable taking on the BIG projects, like community picnics, that needed to serve 100-200 people at a time.

Brats, pulled pork, hot dogs, burgers, slaws and potato salads. BIG pans of food!

They were also a great help during the Easter breakfasts, serving up pancakes and sausages and eggs.

I would take care of the logistics...the plates, napkins, plasticware, drinks, desserts, and they would take care of the rest.

And the best part? They were always fun to work with. We had a lot of laughs!

I wanted to make them both a special card to thank them for all of their help. I knew just the stamp set, too. Recipe for Happiness from My Favorite Things! I bought this Birdie Brown stamp set sometime last year during one of the great MFT sales, knowing that I would use it one day. I finally got my chance!

This was a fun one to make, too. A little coloring, a little Wink of Stella to make the buttons shimmer, and voila!

  1. How considerate of you to send the men thank you cards. I'm sure they will appreciate them. They're so cute! The cards, that is. 🙂
