Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Holiday Mug Shots

Welcome to the café! Today's Brew features Simple Stories patterned papers from the Holly Jolly collection, paired with Catherine Pooler's Holiday Mug Shots.

I finally had a chance to play with these fun CP stamps! This little snowman mug is so cute. Here's a tip: for some reason, the scarf around the neck is striped, but the long end tassels were not. I fixed it with a Micron black marker, and then colored with COPICs.

This card has a lot of subtle sparkle! Snowflake sequins, Wink of Stella, and shimmer spray added.

Here's another tip: Simple Stories papers usually feature a white that is not truly white, but more of a cream. White card stock against any papers that have a bit of  "white" can look harsh. Papertrey Ink's Vintage Cream card stock is a really close match. For this reason, I stamped the snowman mug on the cream and die cut a cream snowflake, too.

Operation Patterned Paper is my attempt to use up all of the holiday papers that I've been hoarding for too long. Today's card uses Simple Stories Holly Jolly papers for a fun and festive look.

Thanks for visiting the café today!

  2. What a stroke of creativity to stamp the greeting in the snowflake center! I like that fresh take on sentiment placement. The snowman mug image is adorable and I now want one in real life for my hot chocolate lol.
