My husband asked me to make him some cards for his department managers this week.
He knows how much I spend on this craft. How could I refuse?
"How many do you need?"
"Sixteen," he answered.
Sixteen! Better get busy!
I wanted something sparkly and stunning, but still understated and impactful.
In other words, elegant.
And I think this card delivers just that.
This would've been a great time to have that Michael's Recollections sparkly glitter card stock in red, but alas, I did not. So I improvised. I cut out the stars and then sprayed them all with shimmer spray. I sprayed the embossed background in shimmer spray, too.
Here's a funny thing. I don't think I owned any star shaped dies until this year, when I ordered them on sale at Hello Bluebird. That's a great basic shape to have on hand, too.
The embossed evergreen background is old Stampin' Up, and I just love it.
The sentiment? It's from a Concord and 9th snowflake set that I got this fall from the buy/sell forums. I really like that style of script, too.
MORE cards. Can you believe it? And just days before Christmas, too!
Blessings on your last minute crafting, café friends!
These are great! I have enjoyed seeing all the different cards you have made this year. Merry Christmas!!
