I have been hoarding this mica-like specialty paper from Stampin' Up for a few years now. It's lovely, but not precious, and it's meant to be used!
I needed to get a lot of cards done, and quickly! Christmas is in six days!
I decided this set from Catherine Pooler would be perfect. Simple stamping and die cutting! And this mica-like silver backdrop gave snowy-like sparkle without detracting from the focus...the Holy Family!
This tent topper style card was easy to put together, especially with the help of this SU label punch.
True story: I sold off a LOT of handheld punches about 8-10 years ago. I told myself "Too big. Too bulky. Takes up too much storage space compared to a die."
And all of that is true. But sometimes, it is so much easier to grab a punch and make a circle than it is to hunt down a die and crank away. I'm glad I got this punch this summer.
And here is the inside of the card.
I made fifteen of these, and they are going postal today!
Blessings on the start to your week, café friend!
