The cold weather has me pulling out the winter gear and fluffing the house with plenty of warm blankets and pillows and candles.
I usually start decorating with the greenery first, and then layer in a few Christmas nativities.
Last year, I went with a woodland theme...lots of natural elements and red and black buffalo check.
This year, I'm going more sparkly, with silver and gold and calming white. And of course, because I'm a traditionalist, I incorporate lots of red and green.
Today's card features both: sparkly with greenery AND red and green!
(Today's Brew: Joyful wreath die (CP), Winter Banner die (Mama Elephant}, Simple Stories paper, CP sequins and ribbon die, snowflake die, shimmer spray}
I decided to leave the diecut wreath in the panel, then watercolored the elements. I raised the panel, added an acrylic sheet window, and turned it into a shaker card.
Hope you are finding your cozy, too!
Love, love, love your card! It's so vintage looking! We are piled under the blankets here, too, but are heading to Florida next week for a college graduation...where I will surely sweat non-stop lol. If the temperature goes over 70, I'm HOT.
ReplyDeleteDo you rotate your Christmas decorations then, to be able to have "themes" each year?
I just bought a Balsam Pine candle from Yankee Candle today and what sold me on it were the gnomes on the jar - I'm so into gnomes! My theme is "Christmas gnomes" I guess!
