Happy Valentine's Day! Do you have fun plans today?
My husband has the day off, so we plan on going to visit my mom and sisters to take my sister, Sue, out to lunch for her birthday.
But first, I made this fun card for my husband using the Concord and 9th stamps and dies called True Story. I got these a while back, and this is the first chance I've had to play with them. They are so fun! You can make shaped cards, stacked books, bookmarks...so many possibilities!
I added a little gold card stock to this to give it the look of embossed and gilded book spines.
I got a great gift for him this year, too. Have you ever heard of Candlelight concerts? They seem to be in many locations and cities. It's usually a string quartet that will play unexpected music in a concert hall filled with candles. I found a concert called Rings and Dragons featuring music from Lord of the Rings. My husband is a big Tolkien fan, and I think this will be so much fun!
Hope your day is filled with love, café friends!
As a book lover, I LOVE the card for your husband! My daughters got my dad and me tickets to a Candlelight concert last Christmas (Vivaldi's Four Seasons). It was beautiful!!! The hundreds of candles were the only light sources and it made it easy to focus on the music and really hear how Vivaldi used instruments to create the sounds and feel of each season. Please blog about your experience with it! I'd love to hear your reactions!
