My friend and Stampin' Up lady, Joyce, is having a birthday this month. I like to pull out SU supplies when I make her a card. This retired paper collection is called Blackberry Bliss, and it is so pretty for this time of year.
There is an accessory pack that features these pretty golden elements. I added some to the front...
...and another inside.
Did you hear? More changes coming to Stampin' Up. The biggest news: they are ceasing production of red rubber stamps, citing a scarcity of rubber suppliers and manufacturers. All of their stamps will be photopolymer in the future.
They are also ceasing production of their line of markers that were used primarily with the direct-to-red rubber method. Makes sense.
They are switching their packaging from the DVD cases to plastic pockets.
And I hear they are ending Sale-a-Bration, too.
It's a tough industry in the crafty world. And MLM companies, in particular.
While I do not miss the high cost added to MLM company products, I do sometimes miss the fun we used to have at in-home parties.
Remember the days of Pampered Chef? Longaberger? Tupperware? There were candle parties and jewelry parties and clothing parties. A few of them still exist, but not in the same way as they were back in their glory days.
It used to be a fun "girls night out". Appetizers, drinks, desserts, shopping, conversation. It gave you an excuse to clean your house once in a while.
I wonder, what do young women do for camaraderie these days? Paint parties? Book clubs?
Where do you find your "people"?
