The Colors of November

The colors of November are muted, full of neutral tones. Gone are the vibrant colors of October, and in their place are the many shades of brown.

Today's cards are celebrating those warm neutrals.

I used Concord and 9th's Sweater Weather turnabout stamps and dies. It's definitely sweater weather now!

Just a few more weeks of autumn before winter's arrival.

Is it too late to mail my Thanksgiving cards? I'm a little behind this week! I had too much to do to prepare for the big meal on Thursday. After 217 trips to 53 grocery stores (okay, I exaggerate, but it feels like that!), I think I'm ready to get some cooking and baking done. Trying to keep it simple (more easy casseroles, crock pot turkey, and store bought mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and cranberry relish). I've assigned a few things to the boys, and I'm hoping to recruit my husband as my sous chef and chief dish washer on Thursday.

One good thing about the big meal...I'll have leftovers for days!

Blessings on your holiday weekend, cafe friends!

  1. Still not sweater weather here in Pittsburgh....on a walk this morning, I could have worn shorts! Our daughter and son-in-law are hosting their first Thanksgiving so we'll be in Erie and it's supposed to snow a few inches there- oh how I hope so!!!
We are once again purchasing.a catered Thanksgiving meal so no one is doing any cooking BUT I saw Ree Drummond's YT video on how she prepares and cooks her Thanksgiving meal and I SO want to make her recipes!! Lord willing, I will do so next year instead of having it catered.
    Happy Thanksgiving, Mary Rose!
