This was my first Advent by Candlelight at my Michigan church, and it was lovely. Over one hundred women attended, and the ladies of the church hosted tables and provided a delicious meal of lasagna, salad, dinner rolls and desserts.
Each table was decorated by the hostess with their own theme, and they were all unique and pretty. My friend, Becky, hosted our table, and her setting was so beautiful!
I forgot to get a photo of her Johnsons Bros Christmas china. Loved it.
My friend, Eunice, had pretty artwork from a Michigan artist.
My friends Marcy and Kathy accepted the invitation to play our dulcimers for the ladies this evening. We provided the background music, and have been practicing our Christmas tunes set list for a month. I think we did a great job, and we had a lot of nice comments from the guests.
We even gave some demonstrations for ladies who were interested in learning more about mountain dulcimers.
This was a nice evening of fellowship, and a wonderful way to start this season of Advent.
Every weekend seems to be PACKED with events this month, but I am managing to get a good balance of must do's and want-to-do's and really should do's. And so far, December has started with a fair amount of magical sparkly snow and memorable moments.
I hope your December is filled with sparkle, too.
