Today marks Jane Austen's 250th birthday!
Happy Birthday, Jane Austen!
I'm a big Janeite, and I've been looking forward to celebrating her this month. Here's one way I'll be doing just that:
My son, Luke and his wife, Candi gave me this early Christmas present! A very rare commemorative Jane Austen LEGO set! I love it SO much!
My family knows me so well. This mug was a gift from Sam's girlfriend, Rhiannon, for Christmas 2 years ago, and I use it almost daily!
Austen was a creative genius, a writer of great wit and prose. She was also a clergyman's daughter and a woman of great faith. I plan on re-reading through her six novels in 2026.
I think I shall brew a cup of Austen-inspired tea later and see if I can put my creative building skills to work.
