Shifting Seasons
Summer is winding down. Can you feel it? There's a shift in the light now, and the sun is beginning to set just a teeny bit earlier than it once did. Even the garden is winding down, with flowers peaking and everything looking a little more muted than it once did.
I was driving with my sons to the historic city of Zionsville the other day. It's a lovely country drive through farm fields. One field had bales of straw waiting to be collected.
"Look at that! It looks just like a Van Gogh painting!" I said.
The boys are used to my nature outbursts. That's a mother's job...pointing out beauty at every possible opportunity. And if it makes the boys ask "Van who?", then it's all the better.
Today's card was inspired by that field!
