Easter Card with Concord and 9th
Happy Palm Sunday, cafe friends!
Yesterday, I spent the afternoon stamping with my mom at her kitchen table. My mom was cranking out the cards (she's so fast!) while I was playing with some Concord and 9th stamps and making backgrounds for future cards.
I had purchased this turnabout stamp from one of the Buy/Sell forums, but hadn't played with it yet. It really is fun, once you get the hang of it! I found that rather than turning the stamp, I cut a piece of card stock to a six by six size, and kept turning the card stock instead. Worked like a charm.
Today, I pulled out this newly stamped background and thought "Now what?" I know. Make an Easter card! I need plenty of those this week!
I used the cross die from MFT. Such a good investment! I didn't own any cross dies. I used to own a few cross stamps, but let me tell you, there was nothing harder to line up and stamp than a cross with vertical and horizontal lines. I sold off those stamp sets, and will use this die a lot in the future!
I added the flower and palm branch dies from Concord and 9th "Just Because". And then, using the die and stamps from "Banners and Blooms". I used the alphabet set "Perfectly Penned" to spell out Easter.
{Today's Brew: Concord and 9th Lovely Blossoms turnabout stamp, Concord and 9th Just Because dies, Concord and 9th Banners and blooms stamps and die, Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned alphabet stamps, MFT cross die, enamel dot, PTI inks and card stock}
Thanks for visiting the cafe today!
